James Hardie building products is based in Chicago, Illinois and is the leading manufacturer of fiber cement board. The addition of James Hardie to Autauga-Elmore county is a 220 million dollar investment and boasts an 850,000 sq ft manufacturing facility located in the South Industrial Park. The plant will bring 205 jobs to the area.
